The process has been radically simplified. Couples can electronically submit an English-Arabic bilingual template for executing and registering their civil marriage. They only need to attach a passport copy, residency visa and Emirates ID, amongst other matters. It’s even to pay the court fees online.

HOW TO GET MARRIED IN ABU DHABI COURT IN 6 STEP

Here are the 6 simple steps to follow:

1. Download the civil marriage application form available on Abu Dhabi Civil Family Court website. 
2. Fill in and submit the form alongside the required documents, by email or through the typing centers in shopping malls.
3. Wait 5 working days to receive a notification via SMS or e-mail. Once approved, it’s necessary to pay a fee (300 AED).
4. Wait for the Court’s call for the marriage ceremony date (it will take not more than 5 days).
5. Visit the court on the scheduled date to sign the marriage certificate,
6. Get a stamped original copy in not more than 15 minutes.
